4. Specific processing of personal information in certain Klarna services

This Section describes the processing of your personal data specific to certain Services. To learn more about our Services and their features, please see the terms and conditions of the relevant Service.

4.1 Klarna Credit Services

The following Services involve the granting of credit: Pay later (invoice), Pay now (direct debit), Financing (financing), in addition to the Klarna Card and the single-use card (both available in the Klarna App). To provide these Services, we conduct a credit assessment. The credit assessment is carried out on the basis of the contact and identification details provided, information about your interaction with Klarna, as well as financial information. Financial information includes information obtained externally through credit rating agencies, such as revenue and observations on payments. Klarna Card and the single-use card

When you apply for the Klarna Card and the One-Time Card (available in the Klarna app), Klarna performs a credit assessment, just like we do with the rest of our credit services. If you have a Klarna card, Klarna continually updates the credit score based on your interactions with Klarna.

We share information about you and the purchases you make when you use the Klarna Card with VISA and participants in the VISA card network to the extent necessary to complete card transactions, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable regulations. If you renew your Klarna Card or receive a new one, we will pass this information on to VISA so that VISA can notify third parties who have stored your Card details (e.g. for recurring transactions).

If you add your Klarna card to a digital wallet, we may need to share your data with the digital wallet provider if this is stated in that provider’s privacy notice.

4.2 Promotions and invitations to events published on social networks

If you have selected one of our promotions or invitations to events posted on social media, we may receive the contact information provided in your profile (such as your name, email address, and phone number, as well as other business information such as your employer’s name, address, and industry). 4.3 Klarna accounts (savings and payment accounts)

If you have a Klarna account, Klarna will also process your transaction and funds information. If you make transactions or payments to other accounts, Klarna will pass your name and account number to the recipient and their financial institution.

Klarna App

If you use the Klarna App, we will process additional personal information (e.g. information uploaded by you with your consent) in order to provide you with the services you choose in the App, as described below. In addition, when you choose to use benefits or participate in specific offers, the provider of those offers may infer that you are using the Klarna services. Customizing the content of the Klarna app involves creating a customer profile, which is an integral part of the Klarna app as an online shopping assistant.
